Dye, Hartman
Ashley Dye of Slippery Rock and Joshua Hartman of Prospect were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Portersville Presbyterian Church. The Revs. Dana Opp and Russ Hines, the bride's great-uncle, officiated. A reception was held at The Atrium.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Tina Dye of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Karen Hartman of Prospect.
The bride's sister, Carly Dye of Slippery Rock, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kelly Johnson of Muddy Creek Township, Bridget McConnell of Slippery Rock, Jessica Prorock of Boyers and the bridegroom's sister, Jami Monk of Canton, Ohio. The flower girl was Mara Miles of Grove City.
Performing the duties of best man was Ray Monk of Canton. Ushers included the bridegroom's brothers Jeremy Hartman of Birdsboro and Jason Hartman of Prospect; Ben Zajac of Prospect and Dustin Hufnagel. The ring bearer was Lucas Holmes of New Castle.
The bride graduated in 2000 from Slippery Rock High School and in 2004 from Slippery Rock University. She is a teacher in the Slippery Rock School District.
The bridegroom also graduated in 2000 from Slippery Rock High School. He works for Butler Refrigerated Meats.
The couple is making their home in Portersville.
