Butler residents Amy Bacher and Cory Vernon were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Sept. 2 at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. J. David Panther officiated. A reception followed at The Atrium.

The bride is the daughter of Robin Bacher of Moon Township and Deborah Bacher of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Daniel and Shirley Vernon of Butler.

The honor attendant was Tammy Lewis of Butler. Jessica Vernon of Butler was the bridesmaid.

Performing the duties of best man was Brian Vernon of Pittsburgh. Ushers included Gregory Metrick, Matthew Shuster and Joshua Shuster, all of Butler.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School and a 2002 graduate of Grove City College. She works for Keystone Ridge Designs in Butler.

The groom graduated in 1999 from Butler High School and in 2003 from Grove City College. He works for Caruso and Caruso P.C. in Butler.

Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple is making their home in Butler.
