Cadet Joseph Marshall, son of Frank and Sharon Marshall of Boyers, recently completed Cadet Basic Training at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.A 2005 graduate of Moniteau High School, he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army upon graduation.

Amanda Nebel, daughter of Darrell and Cynthia Nebel of Cabot, has been awarded the John A. Mooney Scholarship at Clarion University.A senior music education major, she is a graduate of Knoch High School.

Elizabeth Radke of Butler County recently received a scholarship award from the College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky.An animal sciences major, she received the W.P. Garrigus and Wayland Rhoads Scholarships.

<B>Dominic Giallombardo</B>, son of Richard and Susan Giallombardo of Fenelton, has been awarded a University Scholars Award at Clarion University.A freshman political science major, he is a graduate of Butler High School.Several students at <B>Center Township Elementary School</B> in grades 2 and 3 were recognized recently for reaching their reading goals for the past summer.The school's Parent Teacher Organization provided funding for the books, and the students who reached their goals received gift certificates donated by local businesses.Students recognized included <B>Jordan McCall, Ariana Jones, Katie Leibler, Anthony Marzullo, Elizabeth Tosi, Noah Fallecker, Christian Valecko, Chloe Bowser, Matthew Wetzel, Haley Jewart</B> and <B>Alexis Schmeider</B>.

Amsler Scholarship at Clarion University.A freshman arts and sciences major, he is a graduate of Knoch High School.Four Knoch High School students have been named AP Scholars by the College Board Advanced Placement Program.<B>Robert Kruth</B> was honored as an AP Scholar with Honor.AP Scholars include <B>Stephen Edwards, Thomas Feagin</B> and <B>Scott Wetzel</B>.<B>Megan Hoffman</B>, daughter of Gloria Hoffman of Butler, has been awarded the Jerb Miller Scholarship at Westminster College.A freshman public relations major, she is a graduate of Butler High School.<B>Mandie Huffman</B>, daughter of Mark and Lana Huffman of Cranberry Township, has been awarded the Jerb Miller Scholarship at Westminster College.A graduate of Seneca Valley High School, she is a freshman majoring in elementary education.
