Mary Grace Swierk Santypal, 81, of Butler, former of Middlesex Township, died at 10:07 a.m. Friday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Feb. 25, 1924, in Middlesex Township, she was the daughter of James and Marjorie Neil Kile.

She was the retired manager of the men's wear department at Value Fair in Gibsonia.

Mrs. Santypal was a Presbyterian and a member of the AARP. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Peter J. Santypal, whom she married Sept. 28, 1972; a son, Aleck "I.I." Swierk of Valencia; a daughter, Sandy Swierk of Valencia; two stepsons, Earl Kull and Dick Kull, both of Cuyahoga, Ohio; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

-Friends of Mary Grace Swierk Santypal, who died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Dreyer, pastor of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
