South Butler and Center Township posted shutout victories Saturday in Butler Area Midget Football League play.

South Butler 37, East Side 0 -Logan Renwick ran 30 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and added the conversion kick. Jaquan Henley scored on a 65-yard run in the second quarter.Renwick scored on a 49-yard run on a fourth-and-4 play and added the conversion kick. Kristopher Ricker added a 32-yard touchdown run with Renwick's kick upping the count to 29-0.Cody Montgomery scored on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter with Renwick's kick accounting for the game's final points.South Butler plays Meridian this Saturday while East Side faces Center Township.

Center Township 19, Penn Street 0 -Cole Harvey ran 43 yards for a touchdown on Center Township's first possession. Harvey scored from five yards out in the second quarter after a 19-yard pass to Taylor Ford brought the football inside the Penn Street 9-yard line.Cole Baxter scored on a 9-yard run later in the second quarter with Harvey tossing a conversion pass to Todd Weist.
