'Dukes' is a whole lot of nothing
"The Dukes of Hazzard" was a mildly pleasant TV trifle for fans of car chases and Catherine Bach's legs. It was a product of the late `70s, an innocuous, Southern-fried stopover between "Starsky and Hutch" and "The A-Team." It was fine for what it was.
Which means, of course, that it was only a matter of time before it became a really bad movie.
So how and why did the creativity-starved movie industry take a series that struggled to fill a coherent hour of television and turn it into an incoherent 100-minute feature?
So glad you asked.
