Highfield Gold finished runner-up to host Canon-McMillan last weekend in a Pony League World Series Tournament in Canonsburg.
The Butler entrant dropped a 14-9 decision to Beaver in its first game before defeating Brad-Mar Pines 17-1, Beaver 13-9 and Pine-Richland 8-3 to reach the finals.
Highfield managed only three hits in an 11-0 loss to Canon-McMillan in the championship game.
Bubba Uhlman paced Highfield with three home runs and a .650 batting average in the tournament. Ben Beers had the game-winning hit with two outs and two on in the sixth inning of the second game against Beaver.
