Anthony J. Tremé Sr.

Anthony J. "Tony" Tremé Sr., 61, of 133 Garden Grove Drive died Saturday.

Born in Butler June 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Hubert J. Tremé and Armida DeSantis Raible.

He was a correction officer at Western Penitentiary in Pittsburgh until he retired in September 2002 after 25 years.

Mr. Tremé was a member of Community Alliance Church. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and also belonged to Michael Kosar American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora, American Legion Post 117 in Butler, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 64, the Slovak Sokal Society in Lyndora and the Butler County American Legion Riders.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen S. Tremé, whom he married Oct. 18, 1997; two sons, Anthony J. Tremé Jr. of Pittsburgh and Daniel P. Tremé of Zelienople; three daughters, Karen M. Spinneweber of Butler, Kimberly D. Kramer of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Jerry R. (Kellie) Donahue; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepfather, Frank Raible of Butler; a sister, Helen DeRubeis of Butler; a brother, Bill Paisted of Philadelphia; three nieces; two grandnephews; and a grandniece.

TREMÉ - Friends of Anthony J. Tremé Sr., who died Saturday, June 18, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, with the Rev.
