Andrew Klugh of Sarver was recenlty presented a $2,000 Raymond A. Krome Scholarship from the Pennsylvania Youth Foundation, an extension of the Grand Lodge of Masons in Pennsylvania.A 2002 graduate of Knoch High School, he was eligible for the award as the grandson of Russell Hughes, a member of Victory Lodge 694.A senior at Gannon University, he is a physician assistant major.

Steven Lewis, son of Lloyd and Peggy Lewis of Cranberry Township, has been chosen to work as an intern in the sports and special programming department at the KDKA television station.A communications major at Clarion University, he is a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and is the community service chair for the Interfraternity Council.A dean's list student, he is also involved with the university's WCUB television station and is in the process of producing and directing a video production for the Pennsylvania Campground Association.Lewis is a 2002 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.

<B>Dustin Wessel</B>, a recent graduate of Mars High School, recently received the Sam Walton Community Scholarship.While in high school, he was participated in the National Honor Society, the Key Club, Interact Club, Youth Group, Media Broadcast group and intramural sports teamsHe has been named to Who's Who Among American High School Students and the National Society of High School Scholars and has been awarded an Outstanding Academic Achievement Letter, the Pennsylvania Scholar Award and a two-year letter in basketball.Wessel plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he will major in cinematography.<B>Nicholas Pappas Jr.</B>, son of Shelley Pappas of Butler, recently received a scholarship to attend the Meteorology Camp held July 10 through 15 at Penn State University.A junior at Butler High School, he was assisted in his application by teachers Jennifer Mariacher and Mary Beth Andler.Upon graduation from high school, he plans to pursue a degree in meteorology.

<B>Alex Penn</B>, son of David Penn of Saxonburg, has been awarded a scholarship by the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association's Education Fund Scholarship Program.A graduate of Knoch High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society, Marching Band, Pep Band, History Club, German Club and Track and Field team.Penn plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.<B>Courtney Goldinger</B>, daughter of James and Kathy Goldinger of Worthington, has been accepted to Gannon University for the fall 2005 semester.A graduate of Knoch High School, she was the class valedictorian, president of the student council, class treasurer and a member of the French Club.Goldinger plans to major in pre-pharmacy.

<B>Katherine Furl</B>, daughter of Brent and Beverly Furl of Gibsonia, will receive an award this fall for outstanding achievement on an above grade-level test administered by the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Talented Elementary and Secondary Students.A member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars, she will be a sixth grade student at St. Alphonsus school this fall.
