F. Dale Allison
F. Dale Allison, 73, of New Castle Road in Worth Township died at 2 a.m. today at his home.
Born in Slippery Rock, June 4, 1931, he was the son of A. Floyd and Clara M. Pisor Allison.
He was employed for 45 years at H.W. Cooper Co., later known at Cooper Brothers, in Slippery Rock, where he was the block plant supervisor.
Mr. Allison was a Navy veteran.
He was a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Pine Grove Rover Camper Club of the Slippery Rock-Grove City area and a former member of the Slippery Rock Sportsmen's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Jane E. Wright Allison, whom he married Dec. 24, 1957; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Rob" and Wendy Bosch Allison of Plain Grove and Douglas "Doug" and Tina Windhorst Allison of New Castle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Maxine Dull Allison and Harold "Red" and Jenny Stewart Allison, all of Slippery Rock; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris and Edward Dull and Verna Allen, all of Slippery Rock; and a sister-in-law, Mae Grossman of Slippery Rock. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Quinton, Whitney, Pierson, Camerin, Jessica and Blain Allison; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he held near and dear.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Brandon and her husband, Robert Brandon; two brothers, Clyde Allison and his wife, Ethel Brandon Allison and Vaughn Allison and his wife, Nancy Parson Allison; a brother-in-law, Earl Allen; and two nephews.
ALLISON - Friends of F. Dale Allison, who died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday atSMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with his brother-in-law, the Rev. William Hunley, a New Castle area supply pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Slippery Rock Cemetery, Slippery Rock Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the Slippery Rock Rescue Squad, 162 Elm St., Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
