Sam Eakman captured first place overall at the recent 2005 Wise Physical Therapy Strongman Competition in Grove City.

Eakman won the industrial tire flip and stone throw, placed second in the keg carry and farmer's walk/SUV pull, third in the boat dead lift and tied for fourth in the log press to help total 48.5 points and win the $500 prize

Mike Becher placed second overall with 45 points, winning the dead lift and second in the tire flip and stone throw. Jedd Johnson finished in third place.

Ron Lucente of Baden recorded an ace on the 165-yard, No. 6 hole at Green Meadows June 20. He used a 5-wood.
