On the heels of a runner-up finish at the Penn Hills 14-year-old tournament over the weekend, Butler Township Gold defeated Dehaven, 17-4, in Federation Pony League play recently.

Derek Hays pitched a four-hitter while collecting a single and double. Eric King added four hits and Saxon Parker had a double and two singles.

<B>Saxonburg C&M Enterprises Green 5, Saxonburg C&M Enterprises Red 3 -</B> Dustin Harvey struck out 15 and collected two doubles for the winners. Justin Wolford and Jake Gombos had two singles each.Ryan Leffler had two singles for the Red squad.In other action, Slippery Rock improved to 3-2 on the year with a 5-1 victory over Prospect and a 4-1 win over the Butler Cubs.

<B>Zelienople Paul Blinn Agency 7, Zelienople Dr. Wahl 3 -</B> Trey Carbeau tossed a three-hitter and had two singles for the winners. Nick Laslavic had three singles and Adam Teets had two singles and two RBI.Sam Bucci didn't allow an earned run in three innings and Josh Wise struck out eight in four innings for Dr. Wahl.<B>Saxonburg C&M Enterprises Blue 12, Zelienople Mathews Jewelers 11 -</B> Jacob Schnur led the winners with two doubles and two singles. Sam Stone and Cory Branchen added a single each.Vinnie Rice hit a three-run homer in a losing cause while Mike Hughs and Chad Beck both had a double and single.

<B>Mars 6, Meridian 5 -</B> Chip Hasek was the winning pitcher and added a triple and a single; Jordan Ivey had a triple and a single, Josh Keil had two doubles and Mark Dressel had a double for Mars.For Meridian, Trombatt had two doubles and Kleary had one.East Butler Preferred Physical Therapy A's 8, UAA Blue Jays 1 -Eric Reges hit a grand slam and a double for East Butler while Grant Nagle and Ryan Armahizer added three singles each.Brett Green doubled and singled for the Blue Jays.
