Tournament MVP Zach Waltz had a home run, a double and a single and Russ King had a three-run homer, double and single as the Zelienople Pony All-Stars defeated Saxonburg All-Stars 8-6 in a Memorial Weekend Tournament.
For Saxonburg, Collin Hinterliter had a grand slam, Mitchell Shaw a double and two singles and Bobby Yenick a double and single.
Jeff Kolish also received an MVP award.
Zelie had defeated Kiski Area 8-3, Evans City 14-1 and Saxonburg 2-1 to reach the championship game and Saxonburg defeated East Butler 13-5, Slate Lick 7-1 and Kiski Area 10-9.
East Butler Preferred Physical Therapy A's 10, Prospect Tigers 6 -
Tyler Pettit had two doubles, Tim Geibel two singles and a double and Nick Rossmiller a double and single for East Butler.
For Prospect, Wes Craig had two hits.
Evans City Blue 7, Moniteau 0 -James Biller pitched a no-hitter and struck out seven. He contributed two singles as did Justin Bommer and Josh Williams.Zelienople Paul Blinn 12, Evans City Red 4 -Josh Mann struck out nine in six innings and contributed a triple and two runs scored. Brett Henchar doubled and singled.Paul Benson had a triple, single and three RBI for Evans City.Zelienople Dr. Wahl 8, Center Township Marlins 1 -Drew Niederriter hit a three-run homer to spark Zelie, which also received six combined shutout innings pitched from Zach Motyl and Christian Durbin.Cole Harvey doubled for the Marlins and Zac Sessa singled twice.
Saxonburg Harry Davis Drilling 4, Meridian 3 -Travis Miller pitched a complete game and struck out 12. Tyler Geary added two singles and two RBI and Rob Briggs doubled. Kradel and Klutinoty singled for Meridian.East Butler Advance Auto Orioles 5, Prospect Tigers 4 -Greg Hays had three singles for the Orioles while Doug Orloski had a double and single for the Tigers.
