KC tops Union with Ealy's complete game

Matt Ealy tossed a complete game and Ryan Earley added a double and single as the Karns City baseball team dispatched Union 8-3 Tuesday.

In other action:

Andy Smith had a home run, single, two runs scored and four RBI to lead A-C Valley to an 8-2 victory over North Clarion, its first win in more than two years.

Jesse Mangel struck out nine in going the distance for the Falcons.

Adam Miller had a three-run double, but Butler dropped an 8-3 decision to Plum.

Travis Shaffer hit a solo home run in Moniteau's 11-1 loss to Redbank Valley.

Butler 3, Pine-Richland 1 -Ricky Gonzalez had 10 kills and Chris Falbo six blocks as the Tornado downed the Rams 26-24, 25-22, 16-25, 25-22.Butler (11-2, 7-1) will host North Allegheny on Thursday.The junior varsity team won 25-9, 25-17.
