Carol J. Mincer

Carol J. Mincer, 65, of 129 Shanahan Road in Center Township died at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Dec. 15, 1939, she was the daughter of Darrell R. and Helen C. Vinroe Matson.

She was a homemaker and had been a unit secretary at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Mincer was a member of Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband, Mark W. Mincer, whom she married July 11, 1959; a daughter, Mrs. James D. (Leslie E.) Schnur of Butler; and two grandsons, Adam J. and his wife, Holly, Schnur of Grove City and Eric T. Schnur, a student at Grove City College. She also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alice Stewart and Mrs. George (Wanda) Beck, both of Butler; three brothers and their spouses, Raymond and Mary Matson, James and Marsha Matson and Kenneth and Sonnie Matson, all of Butler; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Sophie Elaine Mincer of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Fennick and Mrs. Nicholas (Holly) Fleischer, both of Fenelton and Bonnie Baker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark "Tim" Mincer, who died July 9, 2000.

MINCER - Friends of Carol J. Miner, who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Bupp, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1027 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053; or to Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E.
