B. Louise Reckner
B. Louise Reckner, 65, of Karns City, formerly of Emlenton, died at 2:48 p.m. Monday in the emergency room at Clarion Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1940, in Anoree, S.C., she was the daughter of Wade D. and Ruth W. Ball Thomas.
Following her husband's military service, the couple entered the ministry and pastored churches in Port Allegany, McKean County, St. Petersburg, Clarion County and Martinsburg, W.Va.
Mrs. Reckner was a member of the Butler Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the Home Shopping Network.
Surviving are two sons, Edward James and Orville W. "Bud" Reckner both of Karns City; two daughters, Brenda Lee Guillet of Fort Hood, Texas, and Helen Ruth Roxby of Parker, with whom she most recently made her home; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (M. Carolyn) Swetman of Martinez, Ga.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her husband, the Rev. Edward T. Reckner, whom she married July 17, 1959, in Aiken, S.C., died Nov. 28, 2001. She also was preceded in death by a sister.
RECKNER - Friends of B. Louise Reckner, who died Mondayfrom 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at HILE FUNERAL HOME, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton. The funeral services will at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Darrell Nicklow, pastor of Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Confluence, Somerset County.
