Do you need a job? CareerLink has them.

Butler County CareerLink has jobs, training, and career assistance all in one stop at no cost to you. It is a group of community agencies providing nonprofit services in one office in Pullman Square at 112 Hollywood Drive, Butler.

Using the statewide Web site at

www.pacareerlink.state.pa.us

, both job seekers and employers register online and can match to each other using new jobs listings or key words related to experience or skill.

Thousands of jobs are posted weekly statewide with requirements from no high school diploma to a Ph.D.

Staff are available to assist customers Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed Thursdays from 2 to 4:30 p.m. for staff meetings.

There is a basic workshop geared for those who have never used a computer. The Monday Morning Roundtable is geared to meet the needs of those aged 45 and older confronted by new ways of doing resumes and handling a job search.

The Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center has three Butler VA staff rotating Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. to assist veterans. Two veterans employment representatives are on site daily to help veterans find jobs.

The CareerLink is user friendly for those with disabilities and offers training, job coaching and accommodations assistance. The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Career Opportunities for the Disabled and Goodwill Industries provide services on site.

Staff includes representatives from Armstrong County Community Action, Butler County Assistance Office, Career T.R.A.C.K., Consumer Credit Counseling of Western Pennsylvania, Manpower Staffing, Transport Tech of Butler and Welfare Initiatives Programs.
