SLIPPERY ROCK - District Judge Clifford Woessner recently ruled on these cases:

Timothy R. Anderson, 36, of Spencer Lane, Slippery Rock, was held for trial on two counts of forgery, two counts of theft by unlawful taking, two counts of theft by deception and two counts of receiving stolen property.

In September 2003, Anderson allegedly cashed $722 worth of checks belonging to a Slippery Rock resident he was living with at the time. Anderson is being held in Butler County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Daniel C. Hamilton Jr., 23, of 328 New Castle Road, Slippery Rock, waived his case to court. He was charged with driving under the influence, disregard for a traffic lane, speeding and failure to wear a seat belt by state police. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Dec. 15 while Hamilton was driving west on Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township.

Ryan R. Wable, 23, of North Road, Butler, waived his case to court. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while state police were serving a warrant for his arrest at a Franklin Township residence on Dec. 21.

Michele R. Birckbichler, 28, of Primrose Lane, Slippery Rock, was held for court following a hearing on possession of a controlled substance. Birckbichler is accused of forging a doctor's signature for Vicodin multiple times between Sept. 7 and Oct. 12 at Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Slippery Rock.

Jeremy E. Sawyer, 28, of Prospect waived his case to court. He was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Benbrook Road in Franklin Township on Jan. 9. State police also charged Sawyer with failure to use a turn signal, driving with a suspended license and careless driving
