Howard, Sommers
Elisabeth Howard of Seven Fields and Lawrence Sommers Jr. of Butler exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Jan. 1 at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars. The Rev. Charles Bober officiated. A reception was held at the Marriott Pittsburgh North.
The bride is the daughter of Joan Howard Harris of Renfrew and the late David Howard. Parents of the bridegroom are Lawrence Sr. and Kathy Sommers of Butler.
The bride's sister, Emily Howard of Renfrew, was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids included Brooke Howard and Brianne Hall, both of Butler; Stephanie Howard of Columbus, Ohio; and Kathie O'Neill of Cranberry Township. The flower girls were Jordan Barish of Cary, N.C., and Riley Howard of Columbus.
Performing the duties of best man was Dustin Thompson of Roanoke, Va. Ushers included Joshua Harbison, Landon Muir and Jeffrey Howard, all of Butler; Jason Neubert of Cabot; Nicholas Wise of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Daniel O'Neill of Cranberry Township; and Jason Howard of Columbus. The ring bearers were Colin O'Neill of Cranberry Township and Peyton Barish of Cary, N.C.
The bride graduated in 1998 from Knoch High School and in 2001 from Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science in nursing. She works at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and the C.W. Howard Insurance Agency.
The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Knoch High School. He works for Frank Fuhrer Wholesale in Pittsburgh.
The couple is making their home in Seven Fields after honeymooning in Las Vegas.
