Vera Hicks and Larry Pifer, both of Slippery Rock, were united at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the couple's home. The Rev. Stevie Mick officiated. The newlyweds greeted guests at their home following the ceremony.

The bridegroom's mother is Patricia Pifer of Ellwood City.

The bride graduated in 1973 from Moniteau High School. She is a homemaker.

The bridegroom graduated in 1971 from Ellwood City High School. He works for the Western Butler County Authority in Zelienople.

The couple is making their home in Slippery Rock.
