Wasylyk, Fernandez
Becky Wasylyk of Butler and Matt Fernandez of South Park exchanged wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Robert Stevens officiated. A reception was held at LeMont.
The bride is the daughter of John and Debbie Wasylyk of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Gerald Fernandez of South Park and the late Susan Fernandez.
The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Wendy Laconi of Butler. Bridesmaids included Cortney Kush of Cranberry Township, Kathy O'Shea of Pittsburgh and Celeste Fernandez of Silver Spring, Md.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Mark Hatgas of Olmsted Township, Ohio. Ushers were Jason Guzek of Abingdon, Va., John Reid of Atglen, Mike Kamauf of Dublin, Ohio, and Chris Kisor of Brownstown, Mich. The ring bearer was Camden Laconi of Butler.
The bride graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 1999 from Washington and Jefferson College. She received a master's degree in elementary education from Duquesne University. She is a first-grade teacher in the Butler School District.
The bridegroom attended South Park High School and the University of Toledo. He works for Pittsburgh Federated Investors.
The newlyweds are making their home in Cranberry Township.
