Vodenichar, Thompson

Adrianne M. Vodenichar, formerly of Butler, and W. Hunter Thompson, formerly of St. Louis, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Maydell Amphitheater in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Rev. Clint Dowda officiated. A reception was held at Bryant Hall on the campus of Salem College.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Linda Vodenichar of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert Thompson and Dorothy Wilson, both of Nashville, Tenn.

The maid of honor was Caitlyn Kraft of Denver and the matron of honor was Katrina Tomlin of Columbia, Mo. Bridesmaids included Sherri Vodenichar of Butler; Stephanie Eggar of Clarksburg, W.Va.; Anna Curnes of Dallas; and Jenny Darneille, Julie Dutko, Elizabeth Justice and Ellen Ward, all of Atlanta.

Performing the duties of best man was Blake Thompson of Palo Alto, Calif. Groomsmen included Elijah Bolin and Sean Simons, both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Andrew Harper of Dallas; Miller Harrison and Grant Triplett, both of Nashville, Tenn.; Jeb Justice of Atlanta; Steve McClure of Charlotte, N.C.; and Will Norton of Savannah, Ga.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Butler High School and a 2003 graduate of Wake Forest University. She works for the Parker Foundation in Richmond.

The groom graduated in 1999 from the John Burroughs School and in 2003 from Wake Forest University. He is employed at Williams Mullen, LLC, in Richmond.

After a honeymoon trip to Telluride, Colo., the couple is making their home in Richmond.
