Kirscht, Schmeider

Susan Kirscht of Ford City and John Schmeider of Cabot were united in marriage on Oct. 16 at the Humpback Covered Bridge in Covington, Va. The ceremony was officiated by celebrant Jolonda Pendleton. A wedding supper followed at Harvey's Restaurant in Covington.

The bride gave the groom the wedding ring that his mother had given his father at their wedding 60 years ago.

The bride is the daughter of Earl and Esther Dilley of Ford City. Parents of the bridegroom are Dorothy Schmeider of Cabot and the late Paul Schmeider.

The bride received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana (Pa.) University and a master's degree in elementary science education from Clarion University. She works at Elderton Elementary School.

The groom is a graduate of Knoch High School; he works in the South Butler School District.

Following a honeymoon trip through West Virginia, the couple is at home in both Ford City and Cabot.
