Margaret H. Craig
Margaret H. Craig, 95, of Middlesex Township died Sunday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born May 17, 1909, in Saginaw, Mich., she was the daughter of Gerald and Theresa Crowley Holihan.
She attended Wayne State University in Detroit and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. She taught in Hampton Township schools for 25 years and continued to promote education during her retirement through volunteerism and tutoring. She also studied Montessori education and established a nursery school in her home.
Mrs. Craig enjoyed extensive traveling throughout her life. She was active in the Catholic church and was a parishioner at the Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.
Margaret will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her service to her community, her generous nature, her hearty laugh and her sparkling blue eyes.
Surviving are her devoted family, Robert Scott Craig of Ashburn, Va., Virginia Craig Zimmer of Valencia, Richard Kerr Craig of New Castle and Thomas John Craig of Asheville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert K. Craig; two brothers; a sister, and two grandchildren.
CRAIG - Friends of Margaret H. Craig, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Richland Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, Glade Mills, with the Rev. Dan Maurer as celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Fawn Township, Allegheny County.The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Sepulcher Building Fund, 1304 E.
