Molly Pettigrew and Brian Piercy, both of Gainsville, Va. were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. July 9 at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars. The Rev. Charles Bober officiated. A reception followed at the Columbian Room in Wexford.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. William and Debrah Pettigrew of Mars. Parents of the bridegroom are Macon Jr. and Carolyn Piercy of Gainsville, Va.

The honor attendant was Melissa Pettigrew of Harrisburg. Bridesmaids were Erin McGarrity of Valencia; Lindsay Mellor of Hobo, N.Y.; and Sandra Grance of Washington, D.C. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Thomas of Mars. The flower girl was Nicole Piercy.

Performing the duties of best man was Mark Moser of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Ushers were Macon Piercy III of Warrenton, Va.; Blake Piercy of Los Angeles, Calif.; Matthew Turner of Greenville, S.C.; Jeffrey Pettigrew of Kutztown; and Matthew Pettigrew of Mars.

The bride graduated in 1998 from Mars High School and in 2002 from Mercyhurst College. She works for Southern Investment Properties in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Stonewall Jackson High School and in 2002 from Coastal Carolina University. He works for The Hoffman Group Investment Properties in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and is making their first home in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
