BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
The Caravan Kids Club of Butler Church of The Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will hold a family picnic at 11 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Park. Participants should take a brown-bag lunch. Beverages will be provided.
Deb Shutak will provide music at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service.

Donations of winter coats are being sought for a free coat giveaway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Island Playground. Coats of all sizes will be collected Sunday and Oct. 17 at the Church. For information, contact Connie Brown.

Blood pressure screenings will be available after both Sunday services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.
The fall women's retreat will be held Friday through Sunday at Olmstead Manor.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

A family fellowship meal will be held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in the church gymnasium. Cost is a donation. An adult Bible study will follow.
A new Crisis Cares Closet has been started for the distribution of personal hygienic items for people in need. Donations are being accepted to purchase items that need replenished.
The new chime choir will begin rehearsal at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Missionary Sundays will be held Sunday, Oct. 17 and 24 at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road. Each Sunday will feature a guest missionary.
COVENANT PRESBY
Dale Allison of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will lead the seekers class Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.
Mary Khalaf, an international peacemaker, will present information about practicing Christianity in a Muslim country from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the assembly room.
FIRST BAPTIST
Seniors from First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will participate in a senior saints color tour Tuesday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock. Seniors will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the camp for refreshments, and lunch will be served at noon, followed by a hymn sing, devotions and a camp ministry update.
FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN
Communion will be served at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.
An evening service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. A healing service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Volunteers are needed for community dinners from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through December.
GRACE LUTHERAN
Members of Grace Lutheran Church, 220-226 New Castle St., who plan to assist at the church table at the Ethnic Festival should notify the church office of any schedule changes. The table will be located in area 57 near Lloyd Johnson's office product store.
Confirmation classes for students in grades 6 and 7 will begin at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Youth group meetings for students in grades four to six will resume at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Meetings will continue every other week at the same time.

Gratitude weekend will be observed at the 6 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.
The Sacrament of Baptism will be celebrated and the handbell choir will perform at the Sunday service.

Harvest Home Sunday will be observed this week at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St. Large cans and packages of non-perishable food items will be accepted at the Birch Street entrance until noon Saturday. The donation this year will be given to Glade Run in Zelienople. Volunteers are needed at 12:30 p.m. Saturday to arrange the display.
There will be a special guest speaker at the 10 a.m. Sunday service. This will be the only service this Sunday.
The Young Lutheran Organization will host a kickoff for children in kindergarten through sixth grade from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 in Schramm Hall. Participants should wear Halloween costumes and enter at the Birch Street entrance. For information call 724-482-2494.
