Seneca Valley High School graduates Jessica Cheman, Ethan Clark
and Tory Spokane were recently awarded scholarships from the Cranberry Township Noon Rotary Club.
Ethan is the son of John and Susan Clark of Cranberry Township.
Jessica is the daughter of Edward and Ann Cheman of Lancaster Township and Tory is the daughter of Pamela Spokane of Cranberry Township.Chosen from more than 50 applicants, each recipient received a check for $1,500.
Ryanne Forcht of Butler was recently honored for her academic achievements during the Fall Honors Convocation ceremony at Seton Hill University.
Jennifer Surgenor of Slippery Rock has been accepted for graduate studies at Antioch New England Graduate School.A graduate of St. Lawrence University, she is pursuing a master of education degree.
Sara Phipps, daughter of Timothy and Janice Phipps of Prospect, was recently presented the first $1,000 scholarship from the Butler Health System and the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The scholarship was established to encourage students who plan to go into the health field.A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, she is a freshman at Saint Francis University, where she is studying to become a physician's assistant.While in high school, she was active in the French club, the school's stage crew and the marching band. She was a member of the hospital's Junior Auxiliary for three years and was a volunteer at her church.
