Philip Kearns, son of John and Lois Kearns of Renfrew has been accepted to Mercyhurst College for the fall 2004 semester.

A 2004 graduate of Knoch High School and a former member of the Knoch soccer team, he plans to major in forensic science and play soccer while at the college.

Joshua Snyder, grandson of Bruce and Helen Nelson of Evans City, has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and will be honored during a campus ceremony this fall at Embry-Riddle University.Snyder is a 2002 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
