BC3 seeking adults for literacy programs
BUTLER TWP - The adult literacy program at Butler County Community College is looking for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, math and computer skills.
Free instruction in these areas is being offered to adults who qualify. The program also offers free GED instruction in the official GED test.
Classes and schedules are:
GED preparation - 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and Saturdays at the BC3 main campus; and 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays at the BC3 Cranberry Center.
English review with computer - 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays at BC3.
Reading strategies - 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at BC3.
Math review - 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at BC3; and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at the BC3 Cranberry Center.
English as a second language - 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays at BC3; 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays at the BC3 Cranberry Center.
One-on-one tutoring in these areas also is available.
