Heath Myers, son of Rodney and Kathy Myers of Butler, was recently recognized as an outstanding campus leader at Lake Erie College by Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Richard Julius Jr. of Fenelton, was recently elected president of the student government association at Gannon University.

A senior accounting and pre-law major, he will also serve on the university's board of trustees.

A graduate of Butler High School, he serves as president of the Delta Chi fraternity, and has received the university's leadership and excellence awards.

Emily Smith, daughter of Brad and Phyllis Smith of Slippery Rock, has been selected as a delegate for the 2004 American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation program.

A senior at Slippery Rock High School, she will visit Washington, D.C. to learn the structure and functions of the federal government.
