Kristen Macurak

, daughter of Jerry and Diane Macurak, has enrolled at the ICM School of Business and Medical Careers in the fashion merchandising program.

She is also the recipient of the Imagine America Scholarship, worth $1,000.

A senior at Karns City High School, Macurak is active in SADD, volleyball, the National Honor Society, yearbook and athletic training. She was also a member of the prom and homecoming courts.

Savanna Duffy

, daughter of Lisa Duffy, has enrolled at the ICM School of Business and Medical Careers in the criminal justice-cybercrime program.

A senior at Knoch High School, she is an honor roll student and was recognized in Who's Who among American High School Students.

Amy Kier

of Seven Fields was recently awarded the graduate award for the school of business at Point Park College.

Kier was one of 11 students to receive academic excellence awards during the recent commencement ceremony.

Scott Kiley

, son of William and Stacy Kiley of Cabot, was recently inducted into the Beta Epsilon Upsilon chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society for two-year students at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.

A freshman studying automotive technology, he is also the recipient of the John Winkle Memorial Scholarship, presented by the Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors.

Alexan Bartos

, daughter of Bob and Cheryl Bartos of Lancaster Township, has been selected to participate in the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Talented Elementary Students summer program for academically talented students.

A fifth grade student at St. Gregory School, she will participate in a murder-mystery course from June 21 to July 2 at Edgeworth Elementary School.

Adrianne Boerio

of Gibsonia were recently honored during the convocation ceremony at Saint Vincent College.

Olesnevich was presented with the student government association senior award.

Boerio was honored for academic excellence for psychology studies.

Jackie Collier

, daughter of Ralph and Carolyn Bradshaw of Natrona Heights, was recently presented the Daniel P. Roberts award for the graduating senior with the highest quality point average at Clarion University.

A graduate of Highlands High School, she recently graduated summa cum laude with a degree in elementary and special education.

Jacquelyn Sloan

, daughter of Robert and Susan Sloan of Hilliards, has been accepted to Saint Vincent College for the fall 2004 semester.

A senior at Moniteau High School, she is a member of the National Honor Society, the dance and drill team, marching band, concert band, jazz band and concert choir. She is also the president of the National Junior Honor Society, an attorney for the mock trial team, a red belt in Tae Kwon Do and is a peer tutor.

Sloan plans to major in biology and pre-medicine.

Danielle Morrow

, daughter of John and Debbie Morrow of Slippery Rock, has been accepted to the 2004 freshman class of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

A senior at Slippery Rock High School, she is a member of the varsity volleyball and varsity basketball teams and is an honor roll student.

Morrow plans to major in administration of justice.

son of Louis and Joann Duke of West Sunbury, has been accepted to New York Chiropractic College.

He is a graduate of Moniteau High School and a 2004 graduate of Clarion University.

Keegan Baldauf

, son of Larry and Alice Baldauf of Butler, recently attended the annual meeting of the Commonwealth of Pa. University Biologists held at Indiana (Pa.) University.

A junior molecular biology/biotech major at Clarion University, he was a member of a student group presenting work conducted at the university.

Baldauf is a graduate of Butler High School.

, daughter of Vernon and Susan Kerry of Portersville, was recently named a 2004 Barrington Scholar at Gordon College.

A 2002 graduate of Portersville Christian School, she was recognized for her contributions and achievements in biology.

Steve Knecht

of Cranberry Township, a junior business administration major at Elizabethtown College, was recently elected treasurer of the 2004-05 student senate.
