BC3 presents awards to staff during banquet

BUTLER TWP - Butler County Community College celebrated the achievements of its retirees, faculty and staff at the annual Recognition and Awards Banquet, held April 28 in the BC3 Convocation Center.

Outstanding Service and Community Achievement Recognition Awards, or OSCARS, were awarded in several categories.

The awards were sponsored by the BC3 Education Foundation. Winners were nominated by other faculty and staff members.

Winners include:

OSCAR for secretarial/clerical work - Donna Grimm and Sandy Woods.

OSCAR for physical plant services - Katie Bandura and Jim Thomas.

OSCAR for administration - Bill Miller and Nick Neupauer.

OSCAR for faculty - Chris Calhoun and Greg Mason.

OSCAR recipients were awarded gift certificates and OSCAR statuettes.

The Faculty Outstanding Scholar Awards went to John Griffiths, a full-time associate professor of English and David Ludwick, a part-time fine arts instructor. Both received certificates and cash awards.

College retirees were honored for an accumulated 137 years of service to BC3.

Retirees are Joyce Cicco, Nancy Gillespie, Donna Grimm, Lucille Kish and Jim Meissner.

Other faculty and staff were honored for their service to the college. They include Melissa Hensel, Carol Nagg, Debby Proctor, Valerie Wolfe, Jerry Binus, Chris Calhoun, Bonnie Miller, Lois Robertson, Rich Laughner, Charmaine Wulff, Ron Dorsch, Bill Weisberger, Sherry Neely, Patty Annear, Cheryl Macon, Armand Natili, Diane Ratti and Nancy Jean Rose.
