BRUSH CREEK CHRISTIAN (DISCIPLES OF CHRIST)

Judy Chan, Pennsylvania's regional Global Mission Partner who serves with the Hong Kong Christian Council, will be the guest speaker at the 9 a.m. Sunday service at Brush Creek, 1510 Haine School Road, Cranberry Township.

Chan will at the Bible study following service.

Community Bible study will be held at 10 a.m. Mondays in the Senior Center of the Cranberry Township Municipal Building on Rochester Road.

Cornerstone Community Church, 1510 Haine School Road, Cranberry Township, is opening its family night potluck dinner to Brush Creek members, with Lenten skits at 6 p.m. Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.

The orientation session for parents of fifth and sixth graders attending the Created by God program has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road. The seminars will be held throughout the weekend and will be led by the Rev. James Ritchie, a clergy member of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, who specializes in multi-generation ministries.

The Rev. Ritchie will also lead the Sunday services, where the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated.

The United Methodist Women will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The third semester of adult Sunday School classes begins on Sunday. Four different classes are being offered.

The food item being collected throughout the month of March is cereal. Donations benefit the Covenant Food Cupboard.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Alabaster Box Offering may be picked up after the Saturday night or Sunday morning service at

Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work and Witness projects.

Orders for American Cancer Society daffodils will be accepted until March 8. Single bunches are $7 and a Daffodil Days vase can be purchased for $6 a piece.

Amber Crowe will be the guest singer at the Sunday service.

Andy and Lizet Bowen, serving with World Gospel Mission in Paraguay, will be introduced in the weekend services on March 13 and 14. They will also speak during the Sunday school.

COVENANT PRESBY

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated during the 11 a.m. service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. The Handbell Choir will participate in the 11 a.m. service.

Kate Walsh, a mezzo-soprano, will be the guest artist for the Lenten Recital Series at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary. A light lunch will follow.

A Spring Kids Club will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sundays beginning this week.

CLINTON U.P.

Clinton United Presbyterian Church is hosting the community mid-week Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 197 Glade Mill Road. For information, call the church at 724-352-3855.

FAITH FELLOWSHIP

Scholarships have been set up for students from first grade through eighth grade for Christian Summer Camp through Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive. Each scholarship will cover up to 50 percent of the cost for a child to attend one of three Western Pennsylvania District Youth Camps this summer. For information, call the church office.

The Immediate Needs and Concerns group will be cooking meals to fill the freezer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the main kitchen at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. FRIENDSHIP PARISH OF THE BEAVER/BUTLER PRESBY

The Friendship Parish of the Beaver/Butler Presbytery will hold the second Lenten dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Presbyterian Church with "The Cross Carpenter" by Carmen Shullo, one man's introspect, starting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. HILL U.P.

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Youth Choir will provide the introit at the Sunday service. Accompanists will be Janelle Thompson on violin and Brian Mueller on guitar.

Kids' Club is collecting donations of pasta and spaghetti sauce for Covenant Cupboard and shampoo and toiletries for Catholic Charities. Donations should be brought to the fellowship hall.

MT. CHESTNUT PRESBY

New members class is set for 10 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422.

The fellowship committee is holding a soup and sandwich luncheon after church on March 14. Several kinds of soup will be provided. Each participant should bring a sandwich, wrapped individually and marked to share with the church family.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

The Lord's Supper will be celebrated at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at New Life Christian Ministries, Knoch School auditorium, 345 Knoch Road, Saxonburg.

The children and teens will visit their adopted grandparents at nursing homes on Sunday. Participants need to be at the school before 9 a.m. to carpool.

The children's Christian nurture team will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at The Bridge, 102 Bay St., Penn Township.

World Day of Prayer will be observed Friday. Prayer teams and other participants from the church will pray every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Rev. Tim Fulkerson will lead a question-and-answer discussion about the movie, "The Passion of the Christ" at 10 a.m. Saturday at Outlook Pointe, 100 Bella St., Saxonburg.

A mandatory youth and parent meeting for all students in grades six through twelve who plan to serve on a New Life mission trip team this summer will be held March 13 at The Bridge. NORTH MAIN STREET CHURCH OF GOD

The 60 Plus or Minus group will meet at noon March 11 in the Fellowship Hall at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., for lunch and "Antique Show" with Ellen King, appraiser. Each person may take one item to be appraised. Participants should take a tureen to share.

The board of directors will meet at 7 p.m. March 11 in the conference room.

Easter lily orders may be made in memory or honor of a loved one, or in gratitude to God at $5 each. Orders may be made by mail to the church office, or at either welcome center. Lilies will remain in the sanctuary until after the 10:30 a.m. Easter Sunday service on April 11. The deadline for orders is April 5.

OLD UNION PRESBY

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

ST. JOHN REFORMED

A men's breakfast and Bible study is set for 7:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Reformed Church, Route 68.

ST. MARK LUTHERAN

The Lutheran Youth Organization of St. Mark Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., is having a spaghetti dinner on Saturday in the fellowship hall. A donation of $6 for adults and $3.50 for children is suggested. Takeout orders cost $6 a piece. Tickets are available from any LYO member or the church office.

A special Mass to pray for spiritual, physical or psychological healing will be celebrated at 3 p.m. March 14 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Herman. Several priests will be available for the sacrament of reconciliation.

ST. RICHARD R.C.

Stations of the Cross will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia. A Charismatic Mass for Healing will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Stations of the Cross and Benediction will be held at 7 p.m. March 12 and 19.

First Reconciliation for children making their First Communion will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The movie, "The Passion of the Christ" will be viewed on Sunday afternoon, with a discussion time to follow on returning to the church.

Trinity Fellowship will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Hall for a catered dinner.

Midweek Lenten service will be at noon Wednesday with a luncheon to follow in Fellowship Hall.

Prayer Fellowship has resumed at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays in the library.
