Slippery Rock 'Christmas Market' not a good idea

I often question what goes on in this county when leaders, such as the mayor of Slippery Rock facilitate a “Christmas Market” during a PANDEMIC!!

This was held on Nov. 21, and the article in the Eagle used an introductory phrase : “Slippery Rock Event Brings Some Normalcy”

No, the attendees, of which many were students and families, will now take the super spreader virus back to their loved ones; parents and grandparents. The businesses may have been happy, but many of us who live and do business in this town thought it was not a smart decision in any way, shape or form.

Leaders are expected to protect, represent and honor their constituents no matter the party they belong to. Neither the mayor or Mike Kelly are doing this and I find it very disheartening.

It is time to act like united Americans instead of partisan politicians. Mr. Kelly, Trump lost the election!!

Linda C. Snyder,
