Succop Nature Park, 185 W. Airport Road, Penn Township, hosts Birds and More nature walks at 9 a.m. Thursdays. The newly renovated T.W. Phillips Barn features a WindStax turbine that supplies electricity to the building, a nature store, classroom space, a large upstairs area that can be used for programs or rentals, and numerous bathrooms. Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will be a site for the Christmas Bird Count from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Jennings will provide an indoor observation station for the Bartramian Audubon chapter’s annual Butler County Christmas Bird Count for anyone who is interested in attending the free, informal birding session.
