POLICE REPORTS

The following items have been gathered from various police departments:

8:51 p.m. Oct. 18 — A man reported a hit-and-run incident on South Clearfield Road and McGrady Road in Clearfield Township. The man's car was hit on the side mirror and window. The other driver drove away without reporting the incident. Police don't have a description for the car that drove away.

8:47 p.m. Oct. 17 — Police were called to a domestic dispute in Cherry Township. They charged Sarah Rice, 46, of Slippery Rock with assaulting a 46-year-old man.

6:46 p.m. Oct. 16 — A 34-year-old man from Butler was charged with harassing a 16-year-old man from Slippery Rock after reportedly grabbing the victim and wrapping his arm around the victim while on Euclid Road in Clay Township.

5:54 p.m. Oct. 15 — While driving a car north on Interstate 79, Alea Lewis, 18, of Portersville lost control of the vehicle and it began to spin clockwise. As the car drifted east on the road, it barrel-rolled onto a guide rail before finally stopping.

Cranberry Township EMS personnel responded and they suspect Lewis suffered minor injuries, but she refused treatment. The car had to be towed.

9:39 p.m. Oct. 14 — Police responded to a domestic dispute on West Red Oak Court in Jefferson Township. They charged Steven Rush, 28, of Canonsburg with punching his boyfriend several times in the face and then going across the street and attacking another man.

6:06 p.m. Oct. 14 — While driving south on Route 8, John V. Othites, 21, of New Castle attempted to make a left onto Kiester Road before the road was clear to make the turn, police said. As a result, a car being driven by Mohamad A. Ali, 45, of Mars collided with Othites' car. Ali was injured and transported to Grove City Medical Center.

10:02 Oct. 13 — Police have now identified the person they accused of stealing a donation jar from Kwik Fill on North Main Street in Center Township. Johanne Minetti, 49, of Slippery Rock is charged with stealing the donation jar. There was no money in the jar.

11:30 p.m. Oct. 11 — A minor fight broke out between a 21-year-old man from Erie and a 19-year-old female from Harborcreek. The two were charged for the fight which took place on Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock Township.

12:18 p.m. Oct. 9 — A 36-year-old female from West Sunbury was charged with disorderly conduct after police received reports that she was trespassing on someone's property in Clay Township. The woman was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a mental health commitment.

8:39 p.m. Sept. 28 — Ken Kelminsky, 29 of Renfrew was charged with driving under the influence of marijuana after police stopped him for a traffic violation.

6:16 p.m. April 1 — Kyle Zaffuto, 27, of Cabot was charged with falsifying information while attempting to buy a gun.

12:42 p.m., Oct. 14 — Eric J. Porterfield, 28, of Cowansville was charged with speeding after he crashed his Freightliner on Madison Road.Porterfield took a downhill turn too fast, which caused the semi truck to leave the road and hit a culvert on the northern berm. The semi truck rolled onto its passenger side in the middle of the road and slid into the southern berm, hitting a mailbox on the way.The truck came to rest in the driveway of 564 Madison Road and leaked propane, which it carried.Porterfield suffered a suspected minor injury but was not transported to a hospital.County hazmat and local fire personnel assisted at the scene.8:27 p.m., Oct. 13 — Ashley Dimond, 38, of Freeport, was arrested with charges pending for driving under the influence, according to a police report.Police said they found Dimond at 243 Quarry Road in West Kittanning, Armstrong County, after responding to a report of an erratic driver. According to the report, Dimond admitted to police she consumed alcohol before driving. Police said Dimond showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test, but she refused a chemical breath test.Police arrested and processed Dimond for DUI and released her.According to the report, charges are being filed through Armstrong County District Judge J. Gary DeComo.
