2:12 p.m. June 20 — Michael Churilla, 44, of Slippery Rock, charged with retail theft/shoplifting, is alleged to have stolen items from a Walmart in Grove City.
2:30 a.m. Sept. 2 — Richard M. Nolan, 28, of Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after police approached him in a car parked in the Super 8 parking lot.1:15 p.m. Sept. 1 — Police report William Whitmer, 84, of East Butler, was driving on New Castle Road when he failed to stop for a red light, and crashed into a vehicle driven by William Rhea, 86, of Leechburg. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were towed.3:45 p.m. Aug. 30 — A 17-year-old crashed into a tow truck on New Castle Road near S. Duffy Road. Nobody was injured, but one vehicle had to be towed.3:15 p.m. Aug. 30 — Police report Eric Pilarski, 39, of Butler failed to stop for stopped traffic in front of him along New Castle Road, and crashed into a car driven by Phillip Meeder, 53, of Chicora. Meeder’s car then crashed into a car in front of him driven by Mary Lominskiu, 59, of Butler. Lominski’s car crashed into another car in front of her driven by Christine Thompson, 44, of Butler. No injuries were reported, and Meeder’s car had to be towed.
