These items have been collected from various police departments.

Monday — Juan A. Aguirre, 47, was charged in an arrest warrant with punching and biting his teenage son during a domestic dispute last week at the family's home on East Boyd Street.

Police said the 17-year-old victim recounted that he and Aguirre got into a flap shortly before 9:30 p.m. July 3. The teen accused the defendant of knocking him down and grabbing his hair, according to court documents.

The boy left the house and went to a friend's house, but eventually returned home. The father and son got into an argument, documents said, during which Aguirre allegedly punched the victim in the head and face.

The teen allegedly told police that after he bit his father's finger, the defendant bit him on the left side of the face. Officers spoke to the boy's mother, who witnessed the altercation and allegedly described Aguirre as the aggressor.

Aguirre is charged with simple assault.

11:24 p.m. Sunday — Jory C. Melik, 30, of Kittanning was allegedly caught with several drug-related items at the Greenview Gardens apartment complex. Police went to the apartment building after they learned that Melik, who was wanted on a warrant, was there.

Officers found the defendant in a bedroom. He was searched, according to court documents, and found with a small digital scale, a crack pipe, three syringes and other suspected contraband.

Melik is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 7 — An arrest warrant was issued for a Clarion County man accused of assaulting a woman in a domestic dispute several days earlier on the 400 block of North McKean Street.

The victim told police that Donald P. Anthony, 32, of Sligo came up behind her around 5:40 p.m. July 3 and started to follow and harass her, according to court documents. He also allegedly struck her in the face and pushed her into bushes.

A witness to the incident, police said, corroborated the woman's account.

Anthony is charged with simple assault.

8 p.m. Tuesday — Dayna L. Finucan, 57, of Butler was injured in a one-vehicle rollover wreck on Center Avenue near the Sheetz store. Police said her vehicle struck a utility pole and ended on its hood.Finucan, who suffered minor injuries to her arms, was cited for careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.

June 10 — Brian L. Crawford, 34, of Slippery Rock was charged with drugged driving stemming from a May traffic stop for allegedly making an illegal vehicle pass in the area of West Liberty and South Main streets. He was stopped on a motorcycle shortly after 2 p.m. May 6.Police said Crawford admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day, according to court documents. He showed impairment during field sobriety testing. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which allegedly indicated he had marijuana in his system.He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, unlawfully passing another vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and careless driving.12:35 a.m. June 2 — Thomas M. Bishop, 35, of Butler was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on South Main Street. Police said they pulled him over after they saw his pickup truck traveling over the yellow lines for about 100 yards.Bishop acknowledged having consumed two alcoholic drinks, court documents said, and he subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the state police barracks in Butler Township for a breath test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.097 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.He is charged with DUI and disregarding traffic lanes.

4:56 p.m. Tuesday — Both drivers were injured, one seriously, in a head-on crash on Route 356 at Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township.The collision occurred when a car driven by Dale R. Schreckengost, 28, of Ford City, Armstrong County, turned in front of a car driven by Laurel A. Fredley, 23, of Butler, according to a police report.Fredley, 23, of Butler was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with suspected serious injuries. Schreckengost was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with apparent minor injuries.Police cited Schreckengost for making an improper left turn and careless driving.1:08 p.m. Tuesday — A West Sunbury couple riding in a car was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Route 38 at Hohn Farm Road in Oakland Township. Eric L. Gavinski, 53, and his wife, Pamela A. Gavinski, 55, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Police said the crash occurred when a sport utility vehicle driven by Hunter A. Cahall, 19, of Gibsonia turned and struck the car driven by Eric Gavinski. The teen was not injured, according to a police report.Cahall was cited for failing to yield the right of way.June 24 — John L. Deal Jr., 59, of Eau Claire was charged with drunken driving stemming from a one-vehicle crash in May in Cherry Valley. He was injured in the wreck shortly before 11 p.m. May 23 on Route 38.Police said they spoke to Deal while medics were treating him in an ambulance. He admitted to having had “five to six drinks” of alcohol at an unspecified club, according to court documents.A medical helicopter later flew Deal to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. Police served a search warrant June 18 at the hospital for the defendant’s medical records. Toxicology results from a blood draw allegedly showed that his blood-alcohol level around the time of the crash was 0.141 percent.A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Deal is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and a seat belt violation.
