KC girls defeat Falcons

Mackenzie Dunn had a home run and four RBI Wednesday as the Karns City softball team defeated A-C Valley, 13-5.

The Gremlins led only 7-5 through five innings before scoring six runs over the final two frames. Taylor Ekis had two singles and two RBI.

Cami McNany had two singles and two RBI for the Falcons.

Garret Schaffhauser scored his second overtime goal of the season to lead Freeport to an 11-10 WPIAL Class AA playoff win at Chartiers Valley Tuesday night.Schaffhauser had three goals and four assists in the game.
