Butler County Historical Society presents the “Echoes from Our Past Historic Cemetery Walk,” featuring six actors portraying people from the area’s past, plus a yet-to-be-announced moment about Butler’s pride and joy — the Jeep — at 2 p.m. May 18 and 19 at the grounds of the North Side Cemetery. The tour will last about 1¾ hours at the cemetery at 1002 N. Main St. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for students ages 10 to 21 and for society members. Visit the society office at the Sen. Walter Lowrie House, 123 W. Diamond St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. The office will also be open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 and 17. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., hosts a spring film series “Presenter’s Favorites” featuring the film “The Third Murder,” about a lawyer tasked with defending a client who faces the death penalty if found guilty, on Thursday. The film “Shoplifters” will be shown on May 3. Films begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free though donations are accepted and reservations are required for the films. Maridon hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Museum admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., offers tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

The Daffodil Show, presented by the Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania, is slated for 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Shady Side Academy Senior School ice rink, 423 Fox Chapel Road. Admission is free. The group’s next show will be the annual Hosta Show on June 1 at Soergel Orchard in Wexford.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, will host children’s activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday including potting a pollinator-friendly plant. On Saturday, UPMC Health Plan Family Fun Fest takes place at Phipps. The conservatory is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $16.95 for senior citizens and students, and $11.95 for children 2 to 18. Call 412-622-6914.

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, will host opening weekend activities Saturday and Sunday for Museum Lab, a new exhibit for children 10 and older that includes Studio Lab, Make Lab and Tech Lab. Continuing are TapeScape 3.0, an art installation/play exhibit which is an indoor climbing, sliding, rolling landscape made of more than 50 miles of packing tape, through May 12, and “Rube Goldberg: The World of Hilarious Invention!” through May 5. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Call 412-322-5058.

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., has opened “The Vietnam War: 1945-1975.” The Detre Library & Archives at the Sen. John Heinz History Center will present an African American Genealogy Workshop on Saturday; registration is required at www.heinzhistorycenter.org/events.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts the exhibition “Reptiles: Live!” through May 12. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except closed Tuesdays. Call 412-622-3131.
