Moniteau tops Cranberry for road victory

Jared Lominski led a quartet of Moniteau players who reached double digits in points with 17 as the Warriors topped Cranberry, 65-48, in boys basketball play Monday night.

It was the fifth straight victory for Moniteau (9-3).

Gage Neal added 13 points, Ethan McDeavitt 12 and Tyler McFadden 10 in the win.

North Catholic 78, Knoch 30 — The Trojanettes led 25-10 after one quarter and coasted to this section win.

Kylee Lewandowski paced the win with 16 points and Dani Short added 14.

Tess Myers and Cassie Foster both chipped in 11 points for North Catholic (11-1, 7-0).

Nevaeh Ewing scored 10 points for Knoch (6-7, 4-3).

Slippery Rock 77, Meadville 34 — Maryann Ackerman drained 30 points to lead the Rockets to this rout of the Bulldogs.

Emma McDermott added 21 points while Anna Kadlubek and Hallie Raabe both scored 10.
