Mars wins big in opener, 73-30

Andrew Recchia drained 19 points and Khori Fusco added 18 as Mars opened the season with a 73-30 boys basketball victory over Burrell Friday night at the Freeport Tournament.

Fusco, who previously played at Clairton High School, went over 1,000 career points with the effort.

No other details were available.

A-C Valley 54, Portersville Christian 50 — Behind a pair of double-doubles from Eddie Stevanus and Levi Orton, A-C Valley scored this victory at the Falcons' Hoops For Heroes Crossover Challenge.

Stevanus tallied 23 points and 10 rebounds while Orton contributed 15 points and 10 boards.

White paced Portersville with 20 points. Kauffman added 10 points.
