Tours of Preston Park in Butler Township, including the residence and the grounds, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24. This two- to three-hour walking tour is available at no cost, but registration is required. I Call 724-283-3430 or 724-287-7465 or email mlove@butlertwp.org.

Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will host a seminar by Buddhist chaplain Cynthia Marshall at 1 p.m. Saturday for those interested in studying Buddhist philosophy. Tickets are required. Proceeds benefit the museum. Call 724-282-0123 or visit www.maridon.org. The museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and will be closed Nov. 22 and 23 and Dec. 26.

A model train display is planned from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday through Nov. 24 with additional hours from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and Nov. 24 at Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church, 810 Main St., Ford City. Admission is by donation to benefit church missions and by canned food, which will be donated to the Ford City Food Bank. The display is provided by area model railroaders.

PITTSBURGH

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, presents the 2018 edition of the Miniature Railroad & Village — Donora’s historic Cement City. The Lego exhibit “The Art of the Brick” runs through Jan. 7. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12; films are extra. Call 412-237-3400.

National Aviary, 700 Arch St., will have extended hours until 9 p.m. as well as refreshments and music on Dec. 13, 20, 26, 27 and 28. The aviary will also feature light displays on its building and habitats, from December through early January. Hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $14 for senior citizens and children 2 to 12. Call 412-323-7235.

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., continues “Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission,” which explores the space race and Apollo mission when astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to walk on the moon, through Feb. 18. Call 412-454-6000.

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, is hosting “Rube Goldberg: The World of Hilarious Invention!” through May 5, “Native Voices” through Jan. 6 and “Tough Art” through Jan. 13. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Call 412-322-5058.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave. Oakland, hosts the exhibition “Reptiles: Live!” which includes 19 dioramas through May 12. The Museums of Natural History and Art are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except closed Tuesdays, plus extended hours until 8 p.m. most Thursdays. Admission is $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens, and $11.95 for children 3 to 18. Call 412-622-3131.

Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park, has extended its “From Maps to Mermaids: Carved Powder Horns in Early America” exhibition through year end. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $2 off admission for military, and $4.50 for children 6-17. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Call 412-454-6415.
