Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under 8 accompanied by an adult. Call 724-282-0123 or visit www.maridon.org.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., offers tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

REGION

Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, 401 Meadowcroft Road, Avella, Washington County, will host Archaeology Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13. Meadowcroft admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, and $7 for children 6 to 17. Call 724-587-3412.

PITTSBURGH

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., hosts its fifth annual Italian Heritage Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Now open is the exhibition “Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission” which explores the space race and Apollo 11 mission. The exhibit includes the Command Module Columbia. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., will host Owl-o-Ween from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27, included with admission. The aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $14 for senior citizens and children 2 to 12. Call 412-323-7235 or visit www.aviary.org.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts the Lego exhibit “The Art of the Brick” through Jan. 7. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12; films are extra. Call 412-237-3400.
