A Butler man was charged after police found a license plate on his car that had been stolen from Baglier Buick on Pittsburgh Road.

Police allege Matthew Zulick, 51, took the plate and an inspection sticker on March 12 from a vehicle parked in the Baglier lot.

He was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of registration and fraudulent use of registration.

12:30 a.m. May 6 — Police said an Evans City man was charged with driving under the influence and failing to stop for a flashing traffic signal.

Police said they stopped John Dobrowski, 28, after he failed to stop for a flashing red light at the intersection at Moraine Pointe Plaza.

Officers said they then found the defendant to be intoxicated and charged him with driving under the influence after stopping his vehicle.

[naviga:h3]Slippery Rock Police[/naviga:h3]

1:20 a.m. Sunday — A Pittsburgh man was charged with DUI and marijuana possession after an incident on New Castle Street, Slippery Rock.

Police said Jeremiah D. Zehner, 24, was pulled over after a bystander called to report a man staggering and almost falling down in the Sheetz store and parking lot, before driving away.

Zehner’s vehicle was pulled over shortly after and Zehner was found driving on a suspended license, and was intoxicated, police said. He failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested, police said.

Police said a search of the vehicle found a marijuana joint in the center console.

At the station, police said Zehner fell asleep while officers attempted to speak with him.
