Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will be the site of a Take Back the Woods: Battling Invasive Species from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; registration is required at events.dcnr.pa.gov or by calling 724-794-6011. The program “Coyote: Friend or Foe” is set for 2 p.m. May 6; admission to this program is free, and no registration is required.

Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township will be the site of Earth Day Spring Cleaning Day from 1 to 4 p.m. April 28 from the state park office on the South Shore. Registration is required; call 724 368-8811. Wildflower Wanderings is planned for 10 a.m. May 5 from the McDanel's Launch Area, North Shore.

McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, just over the county line into Lawrence County off Route 422, will be the site of a Conservation Volunteer Gristmill Clean Up from 1 to 3 p.m. May 6. Call 724-368-8811 if planning to attend.

Star Party, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will begin at 8:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, near the village of Russellton, Frazer Township, Allegheny County. Call 724-224-2510.
