Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum, 123 W. Diamond St., part of the Butler County Historical Society, is now open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays. Call 724-283-8116 or visit www.butlerhistory.com.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, offered from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens age 60 and older, and $3 for youths ages 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

Zelienople Historical Society is sponsoring an EMA/Ameritours trip to Washington, D.C., featuring visits to the Holocaust Museum and the Bible Museum on May 11 and 12. Email info@ameritours.com.

PITTSBURGH

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., is commemorating the 50th anniversary of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” by displaying Fred Rogers’ iconic sweater and shoes from the show. The artifacts (his green cardigan sweater and blue shoes worn during the 1980s), will be installed in the History Center’s fourth floor “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” display, which is the world’s largest collection of original items from the show. The History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Regular center admission is $16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens age 62 and older, and $6.50 for students and children ages 6 to 17. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., hosts Eggstravaganza! from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and March 30 and 31 and April 1, included with admission. “Amazing Amazon” continues. The Aviary is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aviary admission is $14 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and children ages 2 to 12. Some activities cost extra. Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, Allegheny Square, is hosting “The Pigeon Comes to Pittsburgh! Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except holidays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays through March 31. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children ages 2 to 18 and senior citizens.
