Joseph F. Miller Jr.

Joseph F. Miller Jr., 79, of Butler passed away Friday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Bairdford, Pa., and was the son of the late Joseph F. Miller Sr. and the late Sophie Staney Miller.

Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran.

He worked as a supervisor at USPS Bulk Mail Center in Cranberry Township.

Joseph attended Community Alliance Church in Butler.

He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hinton Miller, whom he married Aug. 25, 2001; three stepchildren, Richard Schmeider of Butler, Tammy Hohman of Shaler, and Jack Gregg of Butler; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

MILLER — Friends of Joseph F. Miller Jr., who died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dennis L.
