Darlene Kay DeLong, 71, formerly of Forestville, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

She was born May 19, 1952, in Grove City, a daughter of Helen L. (Rembold) Smith, of Grove City and the late Donald Kerr Smith. Darlene was a devoted, loving daughter, sister and mother of four. She worked at numerous jobs to provide for her family as a single parent.

Darlene’s pride and joy was her family and her children. She was kind and compassionate with a strong will that was unmatched. Darlene passed on those attributes to her children and she led life by example. Her love conquered all and her laughter was infectious. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Helen L. Smith, of Grove City; children, Shane Hartle of Pittsburgh, Kirby (Rabiab) Hartle of Ashburn, Va., Tracey (Adel) Mansour of Harwick and Dustin (Beth) Hartle of Murrysville; and grandchildren, Nathan Hartle, Aleah Mansour, Landon Mansour, Katelyn Hartle, Bradley Hartle, Milana Mansour and Kiera Hartle. Also surviving are her sisters, Carolyn (Rick) Palmer and Janice (Mark) Brinker, both of Grove City.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Rosalin Chevette Hartle.
