POLICE REPORTS

Wednesday — Robin R. Lieser, 47, of Donegal Township was charged with drugged driving and having suspected heroin and other contraband in connection with a two-vehicle crash last month at Hollywood and Bell drives near the Armco Union.Police said Lieser about 2:15 p.m. Dec. 22 drove through the intersection without stopping, traveled up the curb and rear-ended another car that was attempting to turn into the credit union, according to court documents.Lieser told police that she accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing her to lose control of her car.She failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.Police eventually searched her purse, documents said, and found seven stamp bags of suspected heroin, a syringe and a plastic straw that had white residue on it.Toxicology reports later showed Lieser had several drugs including Butalbital, codeine, morphine and oxymorphone in her system.She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and a stop sign violation.

Ronald P. Stark, 40, of Winfield Township was charged with being more than 2½ times the state's legal limit for alcohol in connection with one-vehicle rollover crash on Kepple Road in November.Police said Stark wrecked his Jeep Liberty shortly before 4:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the driveway of a home. The vehicle had severe damage including several flat tires and a smashed windshield. The investigating officer also noticed “blood throughout the vehicle,” according to court documents.Stark was found sitting at a kitchen table in the home. He had blood on the left side of his head and face. He was subsequently arrested after failing field sobriety tests.Stark was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County for a blood test. Toxicology results showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.226 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.He is charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

Thursday — Brian J. Anderson, 33, of Butler was charged with shoplifting last month at the Butler Commons' Walmart. Police said he failed to pay for $166.53 worth of merchandise while at the self-checkout counter. Anderson is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft. Police also noted that the company has banned him from all Walmart and Sam's Club stores.Tuesday — Cynthia K. Lewis, 52, of Butler was charged with being more than three times the state's legal limit for alcohol following a vehicle accident last month on South Duffy Road.Police said Lewis' car struck a mailbox on North Duffy Road about 6:25 p.m. Dec. 20 after she drove out of the Butler Commons shopping plaza. She did not stop. A witness reported the crash.A short time later police pulled over Lewis on South Duffy Road near Route 356. She smelled of alcohol, according to court documents, but denied drinking.She failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.265 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.In addition to driving under the influence, Lewis is charged with disregarding traffic lanes.

10 p.m. Wednesday — A Pittsburgh man backed his sport utility vehicle into a fence at a business on Route 422 just east of Ridgemont Drive in Franklin Township. Charles L. Henry, 52, of Pittsburgh, who works at the business, drove home without reporting the accident, according to a police report.The owner discovered the damage Thursday morning.Police cited Henry for hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle.

7:48 p.m. Friday — Travis M. Confer, 24, of Templeton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after allegedly fleeing police following a hit-and-run crash in South Buffalo Township.Police said Confer was involved in an unspecified collision on Route 28 north and drove away in his pickup truck. Other motorists notified authorities of the truck's whereabouts and police eventually spotted it.Confer is accused of leading two cruisers on a low-speed chase until troopers forced him to stop. He is facing charges that include DUI, hit-and-run and fleeing or attempting to elude police.

Wednesday — Police are investigating a theft last month at the Adidas store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The crime occurred at 3:47 p.m. Dec. 10, according to a police report, when an unknown white female picked up shopping bags filled with merchandise that a 41-year-old Ohio man had earlier purchased at two other stores.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.
